Love it! |

I have a front loading washing machine, and they are notorious for developing a moldy smell after awhile which does get on the clothes. After using the homemade detergent a few times, the smell is gone! My clothes are also softer using this detergent alone than when I used store bought detergent and fabric softener together. I'll definitely continue using it!

Great Laundry Detergent! |

With my former washer (Maytag), it did a fine job and I had no complaints. With my new one (Kenmore), it does even better. I'm so happy with the kit (saves so much time locating the ingredients) and the fact that the Fels Naptha is pre-ground. Thank you so much!

It is so easy to make this stuff. I used recipe #3. This makes laundry detergent that cleans yours clothes instead of just covering them up w/ smells. My children have sensitive skin and using scent free detergent is one way of preventing breakouts. This detergent does have a nice, simple, CLEAN smell! I love it! I am going to continue using this because it works and its cheap!

Homemade Laundry Detergent |

I received my order yesterday for the kit to make my own laundry detergent. I started using it today, and WOW!...I LOVE THIS STUFF!!! I surfed the net looking for other reviews/tips on this practical way to do laundry. I found a site that had a LOT of info on this. And I found a useful tip that I tried and thought I would share on this site. Commercial types of laundry detergent contain a substance that 'bonds' with chemicals that cause water to be labeled as 'hard water', and helps to carry them away with the washwater instead of allowing them to remain on the clothing...which produces dingy/yellowish white or light colored garments. I decided to try my homemade stuff on my whites, and added 1 or 2 tbsp. of commercial (cheap!) laundry detergent. It worked brilliantly! I did NOT add bleach to my whites and they are absolutely WHITE! I am amazed!

Wow this is amazing stuff. After the very first wash load I noticed my clothes were brighter in color then they have been in years! It also worked great on extremely dirty loads too!
