What a great laundry soap recipe! |

I have long been a fan of the Fels Naptha soap laundry detergent recipe (the powder recipe on this website) and enjoy being able to make my laundry detergent easily and economically. Here is another fantastic option using 16 oz of powdered lye soap in place of Fels Naptha, mixed with 1 1/2 cups of borax and 1 1/2 cups of washing soda. Only 2 TBS are needed and the result is laundry that is clean, soft and fresh-smelling. There is no artificial, perfume-laden scent here so this is great for allergy sufferers. I was able to use this fantastic concoction on towels, bed linens, lingerie and even my husband's grimey golf clothes with great success. Everything came out clean, soft, fresh-smelling and there is no need for fabric softener! If you haven't tried this powdered recipe, do so and you'll never look back! Highly recommended!
