I was a sceptic at first. I bought this soap and made the laundry soap myself and it is just wonderful! I am toally in love with the fresh clean scent! It isn't available in any store where I live so this site is my primary source. Thank you!!

I am very impressed with how well this works. I have been fortunate enough to find it at my local Hy-Vee grocery store and for only 99cents. My daughter & I made recipe #3, the dry mixture & we both love it & smell is very clean.

Fels Naptha-KROGER!
June 4, 2009
Reviewer: Jennifer grentzer from paducah, KY United States
I made the Duggar Family recipe for homemade laundry detergent, work great, super cheap, people ask about it! I have been asked, does it get your clothes clean? I usually answer by asking if my clothes look dirty...I have been using it for months and have gallons and gallons left! I plan to see if it works on acne, my Son can be the test rat, he gets poison ivy too, so we will be trying it for the other uses. If you need the soap sooner than it will be shipped, I just wanted to tell you it is available at Delta Region (Western KY) Kroger stores.

washing detergent
May 4, 2009
Reviewer: barbara s. from Sapulpa, OK United States
I had heard about people making their own laundry detergent. I was kind of doubtful about it but I thought I would give it a try. I made it this past weekend with the Fels Naptha Soap. I must say I am impressed. It has a wonderful fragrance and it did a great job on my clothes. I live in an area with very hard water. My clothing always must have fabric softner. I noticed after the first wash my clothes were softer.

Vons Supermarket has this soap available
April 2, 2009
Reviewer: Lucy from Covina, CA United States
Yesterday I ordered 7 of these bars at .99 each plus $4.95 to ship which came to a total of $11.88. This morning I found this same soap at my local Vons supermarket for $1.69. I didn't save any money by ordering on-line. Guess now I have to wait for my bars to arrive in the mail.

Laundry Soad
October 8, 2008
Reviewer: Mary Ann Vogel from Princeton, MN United States
This is the best "recipe" for laundry soap I have ever found. However, I do not use the expensive Arm & Hammer Washing Soda, I buy 3 boxes of Arm & Hammer baking soda and mix with the 3 bars of shaved Fels Naptha and the 2#'s 100% pure Borax that I purchase from my natural food store. I only have to use 3 tablespoons of this laundry soap in each medium sized load of laundry. My clothing does not fade, my clothing is soft and does not have perfume. An 5 quart pail with a lid holds all the ingredients and lasts me 6 months. I live alone and wash 3 loads of laundry a week. This is excellent. My mother used Fels Naptha in the 1960's and early 1970's, I had forgotten about this product and how my mother always received compliments on her laundry from the neighbors - 8 children on a farm and our clothes were always clean and spotless. I am so glad to have found this product once again.

Best Laundry detergent for Lowest Cost
August 23, 2008
Reviewer: Alison Voore from Marietta, GA United States
This is the most frugal and effective soap to use to make laundry detergent. I use the recipe with 1 bar, washing soda, and borax and I have been using it for 6 mo. and will NEVER buy the expensive, chemical detergent from the store again! My baby is not sensitive to it either! Try it and be forever changed.

saved my wedding day
August 23, 2008
Reviewer: Denise Thornton from Largo, FL United States
I had a horrible chemical reaction that resulted in a chemical burn on my face 3 days before my wedding day! imagine black/blue/crimson bruising and blotching from about my lower cheek all the way down my neck on both sides of my mouth. A dear friend of mine recommended the Fels Naptha soap to try to dry it out and clear it up before my wedding and sent some down to me. after the first treatment, it looked like a bad case of acne, by the second one, I had some skin flaking like a minor scrape, by the wedding day I had flawless skin.. this soap SAVED my wedding day face! I can't possible tell you how thankful I am that my friend suggested I use this to dry up the reaction!

The Greatest Spot Remover
August 23, 2008
Reviewer: from Lake View, IA United States
I do laundry for a local community center. Between table cloths, bar towels and table shirring for special functions I have to remove some pretty "nasty" stains. Fels Naptha bar soap is the only thing I have found that will remove ALL the stains. Simply wet the spot, rub the stained area with the bar and within seconds the stain is gone. Throw it in the wash - and relax. The Product Is Wonderful!!!.
